It’s another cold and rainy winter week, while also being the last week of November, which as you all know is also referred to as “Movember”, a men’s health awareness month. With that in mind, we thought to take a look at an interesting brand and selected seven beautiful jackets for all you gents out there.
Craghoppers is the brand we will be looking at today. It was established in 1965 in Batley, West Yorkshire by two adventurous men who loved the outdoors. They were the first UK company to use nylon in their clothing and experimented with various designs and fabrics, to make up for what they thought was lacking in the markets of the time.
As their products grew in popularity, they were approached by the 1975 Everest expedition team, which boosted their fame and reputation. This is how they came to buy Craghoppers, a business which was for sale at the time and transformed it into one of the most renowned UK outdoor clothing manufacturers.
Now that you have a better picture of the brand and the reason why we thought it would make a great choice for this review, let’s get started with the jackets.
* Note: The availability of the clothes (including colors and sizes) might change at any time. Also please check the clothes’ materials and features on the various shops before buying. The material is 100% Polyester, with the outer shell made of AquaDry membrane, which is a waterproof layer. The jacket is also very resistant against wind and the light padding and lining provide great insulation for when the temperatures really drop.

While the outer shell is waterproof due to the AquaDry membrane, this jacket is hoodless and that should be taken into consideration if you are travelling in rainy weather. However, the inner lining is highly insulated, yet breathable, providing a great balance which prevents both overheating and hypothermia.
The sleeve cuffs are also adjustable by using Velcro fasteners and the main zipper is water-resistant. This jacket comes in two colors: Black and Evergreen.
Craghoppers Compress Lite Men’s Packaway Jacket
Beautiful in design and made of high quality materials, Compress Lite Packaway is a great everyday choice, or as an instant warming layer for outdoor camping. The outer membrane is DWR-finished, which means it is highly water-resistant.
Apart from that, it also withstands cold winds effortlessly due to the quilting and the quality insulation provided by ClimaPlus technology. This filling imitates real down and behaves just like it. The plus side is that it performs well even when wet, a quality that down lacks.
You can purchase this jacket in four colors: Sport Blue, Sulphur Yellow, Black and Quarry Grey.

Craghoppers Selby Men’s Half Zip Microfleece Jacket
The last jacket is also the lightest one. Great for layering during colder months, Selby is a fleece jacket made of 100% Polyester and comes with a half-zip closure. This makes the design resemble a pullover and it is just as comfortable as one, too.
The material is partly derived from recycled bottles, since the brand is part of EOCA, which helps keep our environment sustainable and protected. This is a very lightweight layer, made of microfleece, which is very soft to the touch and provides great insulation.
The color selection is abundant, with over ten options to choose from, such as: Black Pepper, Chili, Dusk Blue, English Mustard and Parka Green.
