In a very recent selection of packable jackets we included a new jacket on our site, Puffer II by a new brand, Hawke & Co.
Hawke & Co. is an American brand established in 1958, in New York. They manufacture different clothing, functionality, and performance being their main focus. Their designs, especially the jackets, are intended for multipurpose use.
By that we mean that you can wear one jacket for a casual outing with friends, to work and for a night out. They are that versatile, which is not something you come across every day.
Today we have picked 8 jackets that you must know about. There are 4 options for men and 4 for women.
Let’s get started right away with the men’s jackets, which are all puffer jackets in style, each with its own specifics.

We are starting with Puffer II, a previously mentioned jacket in another selection of ours precisely because it is a packable down jacket.
It is made of 100% Nylon and the quilting is done horizontally on the body and vertically on the shoulders. This helps distribute the Down filling better and more evenly. Speaking of which, the insulation is provided by a blend of 80% Down and 20% Feathers.
This is a very lightweight jacket, more suitable for Autumn and Spring wear if you live in areas where the temperatures drop drastically in winter. It is a practical design as it is comfortable to wear and provides plenty of warmth without being bulky.
For packing, you can stow it away in its own pocket, so you won’t have to worry about carrying a pouch for it. This is a lightly water-resistant jacket, best suited for dry weather as it comes without a hood.
The color selection is abundant, with over 20 options to choose from, including: Kombu, Palace blue, Silver, Radiant yellow, Green grass and Texas burgundy.

This next puffer jacket is made of 100% Polyester and it is insulated with 90% Duck down and 10% Feathers. It comes with two zipped hand pockets on the sides, the left one also serving as a packing pocket. There is also a chest pocket on the left side.
It has a medium collar, with an attached hood that stows away under the collar. The sleeve cuffs and lower hem are elasticized, providing not only a better fit but also helping to further insulate the jacket.
This is also a lightweight jacket that comes without flashy logos and is suitable to wear practically anywhere, even to work. There are 6 color options: Red buffalo, Black, Loden, Heather grey, True blue and Dark grey.

Slightly bulkier than the previous options, this jacket is made of 100% Nylon, including both the outer shell and inner lining. The down fill is a blend of 90% Duck down and 10% feathers, which provide great insulation and warmth at a comfortable weight.
It comes with slightly oversized sleeves, which will help you move around better. The collar is medium-height and hoodless, closing up by the main zipper. It is a water-resistant jacket, but best suited for dry conditions.
The sleeves and hem are elasticized and there are two outer pockets, one of which is also for packing it into. There are different colors to choose from: Kombu, Graphite, Medieval blue.

The fourth jacket for men is made of 100% Nylon and comes without a hood. It is a lightweight and slightly bulkier than the first two options, best suited for dry weather as it is lightly water-resistant.
However it is very resistant against cold winds, so it is a good jacket for outdoor activities.
There are two side pockets, lined to warm up the hands quickly and it comes with elasticized sleeve cuffs and hem. The color selection includes: Chili pepper red, Black, Loden, Charcoal, Medieval blue and Clover.

Now on to the women’s jackets where the options are a bit more varied both in material, design and performance.
The first one is a lovely mid-length coat, with faux fur trim on the hood. It is made of 60% Modacrylic and 40% Acrylic fibers, with an insulation blend of 70% Down and 30% Feathers. The collar is hooded and the jacket comes with a full-length zipper.
There are two outer pockets on the sides and the sleeve cuffs come with zippers on the back. It is quilted with an irregular pattern that complements the design very well. There are two colors to choose from: Charcoal and Black.

This next packable coat is made of 100% Polyester and comes with a hooded collar. The quilting is very interesting as the lower part contrasts the rest of the body. There are two outer pockets for keeping your hands warm and belonging safe.
The filling is 90% Down and 10% Feathers, so it is a very well-insulated jacket. However, the shell is not durable against water, therefore wear it in dry weather in order to keep the down in its peak performance.
This jacket comes in 6 colors: Black, Pearl, Pewter, Burgundy, Olive and Navy.

Hawke & Co Women’s Diamond-Quilted Packable Down Coat

A diamond-quilted jacket, this is also a mid-length design with a hooded collar. It has a slightly cut waist for a very elegant silhouette and it is mainly made of Polyester, with a down fill ratio of 90%.
This is a jacket that comes in 3 options and their shell material varies, including Viscose and Polyester blends, as well as Acrylic blends. There are two small hand-warmer pockets on the outside of the jacket and it comes with regular sleeve cuffs.
It provides great insulation but it is not very resistant against rain or snow. The three color options are: Black, Charcoal and Royal blue.

To conclude this selection, it’s this lovely design, made of 100% Polyester. It comes with diagonal quilting on the body, mixed with horizontal and vertical ones on the sleeves and hem.
The interesting design feature is the collar, which is padded and quite bulky, with the back made to resemble a hood.
However, it does not function as one, but it is made to go up to the ears, offering protection to the neck and face. This is also a long jacket and it comes in the colors: Pewter, Champagne and Black.
