Day 1: Arrival in Sorrento

- Morning: We land at Naples International Airport. Then we head to Sorrento, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast.
- Afternoon: We check into our boutique hotel near Sorrento’s winding streets. A walk through town leads us to a local trattoria for lunch, probably something with limoncello, because why not?
- Evening: We wander Piazza Tasso, soaking in the evening buzz. Dinner comes with a view of the Bay of Naples, and really, it’s hard not to feel giddy about the days ahead.

Piazza Tasso gets its name from the Italian poet Torquato Tasso, who was actually born in Sorrento! There’s a statue of him in the north-east corner of the square, standing as a friendly reminder of his legacy.
The square used to buzz with horse-drawn carriages. Back then, locals loved coming here for their evening stroll, or “la passeggiata,” and it’s still a lively meeting spot today.

- Midday: We meander through steep streets, browse tiny art shops, and grab a gelato on Spiaggia Grande. It’s almost too picturesque.

- Afternoon: If it’s time to go, we make our way back to Naples. The Amalfi Coast adventure sticks with us, and it’s hard not to smile thinking about it.
