Jackets for kids are not a topic that we look at often and because of that, we will try to remedy it as best as we can. For this reason, today we will be looking at a selection of 7 cheap kids’ jackets by The North Face.
By cheap we are referring to the price being accessible, so that you won’t have to break the bank this winter, to keep your little ones warm and protected.
While the brand itself is not usually on the affordable price range, these jackets for kids that we found are quite affordable, considering the quality and performance.
Options for both girls and boys are included, as well as unisex ones, as you will see.

The North Face Toddler Tailout Rain Jacket
Let’s get started right away with Tailout for toddlers, which is a rain jacket that can be worn by both boys and girls. It is made of Nylon and lined with Polyester, with a DryVent 2L membrane.
This membrane gives Tailout its water and windproof qualities, as well as considerable breathability, so that the child can run around and have a great time without worrying about excessive sweating and discomfort.
We have previously looked at DryVent more in-depth and we suggest that you take a look for yourself, in order to better understand what this membrane actually is and how it performs.
This jacket comes with a hooded collar and elasticized sleeve cuffs. There are two side pockets and a covered main zipper, to further protect against the elements. The hem is in a high-low design, which keeps the back covered while sitting and bending down.
Inside the jacket there is a label for the child’s name, which is both for safety and as a personalized detail. This is a feature in all of the children’s jacket that will be included. Some of the color options available include: Mint blue, Gem pink, TNF black, Turquoise blue, Turkish sea and 7 others.
The North Face Girls Glacier Full Zip Hoodie
Glacier is a fleece jacket for girls, which comes in a hoodie design that makes it a lot more comfortable to wear. It is made of 100% Polyester micro-fleece, 50% of which (at least) is from recycled polyester, so this is also an environmentally-friendly design.
The hood is oversized and with a round opening, without adjusting drawstrings. There are two open side pockets and the sleeve cuffs are standard, with no elastic. The front zipper is full-length and ends just under the chin.
This is a lightweight design, as well as very durable to wear and tear, which will last for quite some time. In itself, it is not very weather-resistant, so it is best suited for dry conditions, as well as indoor wear. It comes in 10+ colors, including: Atomic pink, Blue wing teal, Gem pink, Blue Curacao and Mint blue.
The North Face Girls’ Resolve Reflective Jacket
Resolve is a reflective jacket for girls, which is made of DryVent fabric on the outside and lined with Polyester mesh fabric on the inside for added breathability.
It has a 3-piece hood attached to the collar and a storm flap covering the main zipper. The hood protects not only the top and back of the head but also the front, due to its design, by keeping the rain off the face. It is water and windproof, with fully sealed seams, which further protect against rain and snow.
There is elastic in the sleeve cuffs for a better fit and two zipper pockets on the sides for the hands. It comes with reflective logos on the front and back, which will keep the child visible in bad weather and low lighting.
As it is typical with The North Face‘s jackets for both adults and children, the color selection is abundant and for Resolve there are over 20 options to choose from, including: Kokomo green, Deep blue, Cha Cha pink, Surf green and Atomic pink.

There are two welt pockets on the sides, also lined with fleece for keeping the hands warm. It is a hoodless jacket, with a high stand-up collar, which is lined with fleece on the inside as well.
This is a jacket best worn in dry weather and when the temperatures drop as it is quite warm. The design is so lightweight and comfortable that the kids will want to wear it inside the house, too. It comes in the colors: Blue Curacao, Blue wing teal, Collar blue, Mid grey and Gem pink.

Its sleeves are standard and there is taffeta lining on the shoulders and chest. The fleece is very soft and anti-pilling, so it won’t lose its appearance with wear. The outer part has also been treated with DWR coating, so it withstands light raining without any issues.
