3. Which Brand is Better?

We’re now at the crucial part of this comparison! The part where we have to decide which of these two brands you should buy from.

Of course, both are excellent, and you can’t go wrong with either. They’re also highly regarded on online communities such as Reddit. But if you were to choose just one of them?

If you want sustainability, eco-friendly products, and recycled materials, both brands are very active in this sector. Even though, Patagonia is worldwide famous for its activism and sustainability programs. Does marketing play a part here too? Maybe. But, we see both companies as very active when it comes to sustainability.

Next, if we consider prices, the brands are comparable, both have a wide range of products but are considered expensive overall. Mammut is slightly more expensive though.

For example, at the time of writing, you can get one of Patagonia’s most expensive jackets for over $600, while for one of Mammut’s most expensive jackets you have to pay more than $900. So, if you want to spend less, go with Patagonia.

As for technologies and innovation, Mammut and Patagonia are among the best brands offering innovative solutions with their outdoor gear.

Lastly, if we consider design and style, Patagonia is more classic and minimalist, while Mammut is more stylish and with modern lines. We’d choose Mammut’s designs. But this is a personal choice.
